Entries for December, 2014

Staccato
December 6th, 2014 | 08:01 PM

Yes, it's just one of those very few moments where I'm able to update this antique blog.

I really do get mixed feelings first while passing through the old posts before I get to post a new one. Really missed doing this. Been thinking of updating this for sometime now as I have been getting quite some help with blogs too with regards to my application to PLM (Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila). It's so easy to find some tips on blogs rather than in any other sites. I'm quite impressed with the student orgs when it comes to PLM aspirants which gave me an energy boost to post an entry again.

When I'm lazy to post even if I wanted to post, I just type it on "My W(onderful) Days" app instead. If only Tabulas has an app. It would've been easier to update though.

I was reading on some people who left messages on my tagboard. Apparently they're mostly Malaysians or Indonesians? Weird. How were they able to come across my blog? *random thoughts* Literally had to use the translator online to understand the messages. Hehehehe. Mostly ads, t-shirt ads.

In the process of finishing this entry, I was able to change the image for this blog (Whew, thank God I still remember my HTML shiz from way waaay back). I think this big change in my blog would encourage me to update every now and then, hopefully. :)

RIP Sir Joel
December 6th, 2014 | 08:38 PM

Everyone got shocked with the unexpected departure of Sir Joel.

Sir Joel was my CL teacher way back second year high school. Indeed, he was one of the best and most memorable teachers I had back then. We were the last batch he handled in St. Paul before migrating to Australia.

I even saw his recent post of pictures in his Facebook that Sunday, the day before he died. It felt so terrible to see messages of grief on Sir Joel's Facebook wall two days after I saw his last post. :( I've been noticing many counts of Aneurysm cases. It seems like it is the leading silent killer aside from MI (myocardial infarction, or heart attack).

All I can say, as much as he made memories with the higher batches, he also did a huge impact on my life. I knew CL was a boring class for most during high school; but for me, it was one of the subjects I looked forward to twice a week.

I really have this vivid memory of having a pep talk with Sir Joel in one CL class. He even comforted me when lola died. He was really a kind man. A blessing to everyone. I remembered that one time wherein he said in class that we should be good people because if ever there is really the concept of "heaven and hell" then at least we did good while we were living in this world and we won't go to hell. And if it wasn't true, we won't ever now until we reach that point of death. I know Sir Joel found out the answer in that question already. And it were true, I'm sure he's now in heaven, peaceful.

You will be forever missed, Sir Joel. I hope your wife is already carrying your mini-me before you left. We love you, Sir Joel. I've been thankful to have met you. :)

In loving memory of Sir Joel,

While waiting
December 26th, 2014 | 09:34 AM

I've been trying to start on how to practice my interview shiz for the past few days and it is only now that I actually continued my attempt to do so.

I'm honestly fascinated in reading the PLM students' posts about their first few months experience with how they started with their NMATs then to their PLM applications til their admission to their dream school. You can really see those online when you just hit the search button on Google. I hope I'd get to do the same in the next few months. Hopefully, I get in! (Really praying for this) But honestly, those bloggers who posts about their med life are usually from PLM. Or is it just a coincidence?

Currently, I'm earning my lacking Physics units for my application. I submitted all my requirements already first week of November. All I'm waiting for now is my application form! It's been 2 months and 4 phone calls and still no form yet. :( I called 3 days ago (Dec 23) and they told me to call on the first week of Jan for the forms. Oh well, I'll just wait on that.
